DHAKA: Share prices at the country's premier bourse experienced fluctuation with the start of trading on Monday.
Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) lost around 30 points within five minutes of trading of the week's first trading day as Sunday was a public holiday for Christmas.
After 10 minutes, the index stood at 5256, with a gain of around 25 points. It plummeted 17.48 points in the next 15 minutes to stand at 5215 points.
The index stood at 5230.12 points, with a loss of 2.25 points or 0.04 percent, after an hour of trading.
